Allen Banks Brown, Jr., age 55, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after a long and valiant fight with cancer.

Born on December 16, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from Beechcroft High-school, he received his Bachelor's degree from Ohio Dominican University. Allen dedicated his life to service and to enjoying every moment. A proud veteran, Allen served in the United States Army. Upon returning to civilian life, he continued his commitment to public service, working for the Department of Defense. He retired in 2024 from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).

Allen will be fondly remembered for his big personality and boisterous laugh that could fill any room. He lived life to the fullest, whether he was catching the latest Marvel movie on the big screen, or exploring and trying out the newest local restaurants. His generous spirit and infectious enthusiasm touched everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Brown, Sr., and his brother, Tony Holloman.

Allen is survived by his loving mother, Henrietta Holbert; his sister, Andrea Brown; his brother Bruce Holloman; his niece, Markayla Davis; his nephew, Marshawn Davis; a great-niece and great-nephew, special friends Dennis Featherstone, Tonya Petrides, Tamara Simpson, Sherri Madison and many other family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Service Details

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Allen's life at Newcomer North Chapel on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Visitation: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM
