Alma L. Shank

Alma Shank, 88 of Hanover, MD, previously of Grove City, OH passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born March 18, 1926 in Carnegie, PA, daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Schafer. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband Stephen, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by son Stephen (Les) Shank, daughters Maureen (Steve) Horvath, and Sharon (Lew) Goldfarb, grandchildren Dr. Samantha (Dr. Mike Mrozik) Horvath, Ben Goldfarb, Josh Goldfarb, and Noelle (Larry) McCoy, and great-granddaughter Caitlin McCoy.

Alma was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and friend that will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She dearly loved her family and her flower garden. Alma worked for Cardinal Foods.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00AM on Saturday, Jan. 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 6640 S. High St. Lockbourne. Please meet at the Cemetery Chapel for the service.
