Amy L. Unkefer

Amy Lynn Unkefer was born on January 11th, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio to Larry Seifert and Margaret Seifert (Bailey). She passed away on April 19th, 2026, at the age of 54, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully while surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband Ben, her three children Nicholas, Hannah, and Jenna; and her parents Larry and Maggie.

Amy graduated from the Ohio State University in 1996 with a degree in Pharmacy. She also met her husband Ben at OSU. Amy then worked in Ohio and Florida as a pharmacist for nearly two decades and was a dedicated employee at her Alma Mater in the OSU College of Dentistry.

Amy loved to travel, a passion she imparted to her children, and her trips took her, her husband Ben, and her children across the United States and Europe. In addition to being an avid traveler, she was a skilled cross-stitcher who crafted dozens of large, intricate works which were beloved by all who saw them. Her greatest legacy though was as a devoted mother. Amy poured all her love, passion and energy into raising her three beautiful children.

Amy will be remembered for her love, drive and seemingly boundless energy she brought to all her endeavors. She will be sorely missed. May her memory bring a smile to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The James - Ohio State University - Comprehensive Cancer Center. A memorial service for Amy will be held in Columbus on Saturday, May 9th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel located at 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd.
