Ann Maley Dickmann, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on June 16, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1938, in Alton, Illinois, where she began a life marked by compassion, faith, and unwavering devotion to family.
Ann married her high school sweetheart, John Q. Dickmann, on March 30, 1959. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, faith, and commitment, sharing many decades of marriage and raising a close-knit family.
Ann dedicated 35 years of her professional life as a NICU nurse in Youngstown, Ohio, where she cared for the most fragile and vulnerable newborns. Her gentle hands, skilled care, and compassionate heart brought comfort to countless families during some of their most critical moments. A devout Catholic, Ann was a faithful member of the Church of the Resurrection in New Albany, Ohio. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and guided her deep kindness, generosity, and strength.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children:
John Jr. (Lisa) Dickmann of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and their children, Quent and Dorothy
Dean (Mariane) Dickmann of Keller, Texas, his children, Lindsay and Justin, and grandchildren, Calvin and Hadassah
Kurt (Yvonne) Dickmann of Las Vegas, Nevada, and their daughter, Alena
Tracy (John) Hewlett of Columbus, Ohio, their children Clint, Ann Marie, Maggie, and Jack, and grandchildren Eddie and Daisy
Kristin Stephens of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and her son, James Paul Stephens III
Ann’s legacy is one of love, service, and faith. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her tireless dedication to others, and the deep bonds she nurtured with her family. Her presence brought comfort, her wisdom guided many, and her love will live on in all who knew her.She will be deeply missed but forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
