Anna Mae Fairchild Walcutt Greer “Nana” was born in Marion, Ohio on January 25th, 1936 and passed on August 3rd, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by family at 89 years old. Anna grew up with her brothers Richard, Gerald, Larry, her sister Janet, mother Mary (Thomas) and father Harlan Fairchild. She was honored as the first homecoming queen in the new Harding High School. She moved to Columbus in 1954 to sharpen her typing skills and her heels, to take on the secretarial and modeling world.
Her beauty, wit, and magnetic charm brought Harry Albert “Sonny” Walcutt into her life in 1956 and they welcomed Brett and Bridgett into the world soon after. Anna spent time working at WBNS TV as a switchboard operator and eventually finding her calling at 36 years old, strumming and serenading countless dinning rooms across Columbus. She started singing at the Fontanelle on the weekends, special events at La Scala, and sang the National Anthem at the Columbus 500 race.
Anna found the love of her life, Dick Greer, doing what she loved at the Aspen Inn. She lived a full and delightful life, spending her time traveling with her family, hosting parties, attending all of her grandkids recitals, plays, concerts, and more. Ever present, ever loving, and ever patient, “Nana” is survived by her children Brett Walcutt (Debbie), Bridgett Linville (Rod), her grandchildren Nathaniel Linville, Briana Skinner (Colin), Danielle Ernspiker (Daniel), Abigail Linville, Aubrielle Stevenson (Eric), Meredith Knight (Jackson), and her great-grandchildren Koa Skinner, Summer Stevenson, Aspen Skinner, and Callie Stevenson.
