Anna Jean Jones, 89, of Delaware, Ohio went peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Anna was born in South Perry, Ohio on May 20, 1927 to Eugene and Wilda Hettinger. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Kelly; daughter, Amy Stewart; great-grandson, Joshua Barrett and sisters-in-law, Judy Timpe and Carrie Hettinger.
Anna is survived by children, William (Sanna) Sager, Jr, Pamela (Rick) Colatruglio, Annette (Bryan) Crockett; grandchildren, Christy (Jim) Barrett, Tony Colatruglio, Tim (Michelle) Colatruglio, Tina Long, Jamie (Nick)Kessler, Jennifer (Paul) Smith and Bryan (Anissa) Crockett; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great,great-grandchildren; brothers, John Hettinger and Jim (Geneva)Hettinger; sister-in-law, Jean (Steve) Sturdivant as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who will feel her loss deeply. Anna will also be missed by her special friends, Ike and Bonnie Sowers and family.
The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone at the Country Club Rehab Center of Delaware for all of their care and kindness during this difficult time.
Anna retired after almost 40 years of service to Ohio Penal Industry helping honor inmates learn a skill for when they were released.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19 from 1-4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio. A funeral service will follow promptly at 4 p.m. also at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Monday March 20 at noon at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi, Ohio.
