Anthony Akwasi Appiah-Agyei was born December 26th 1956 in Kumasi, Ghana was called home to the Lord on July 5th 2019 in Atlanta, GA with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Madam Yaa Achiaa and Osei Kwame, and his siblings Kwaku Boakye and Afia Manu. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beatrice (Owusu) Appiah-Agyei, his daughter Ida (Appiah-Agyei) Ayensu, his grandson Torommia G Sanders, III; siblings Akwasi Manu, Ama Fosuah, Akua Pokuah, Kwame Achampong, and Adwoa Kwamo, and son-in-law Adu Kakra Ayensu, and numerus loving nieces and nephews. He graduated from Opoku Ware Boys School (OWASS) in Santasi ( Kumasi, Ghana) in 1979, and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. He worked in research and development for multiple pharmaceutical companies in both East and West coast, finally settling down in Atlanta, GA. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, joy of life, love of his family and great sense of humor.
His funeral will be held at 9:30am at the Newcomer NE Chapel located at 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus Ohio 43231 on Saturday July 20th , with interment following at Glen Rest Memorial Estates at 8029 E Main St, Reynoldsburg Ohio 43068
