Archie Mills

Archie Mills, born on June 12, 1932, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 93. He will be remembered for his loving spirit and dedication to his family, having been a faithful husband for 71 years.

Archie worked at Owens Illinois Glass throughout his career. He was known for his hard work ethic and for never meeting a stranger. Archie also proudly served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army for two years.

He loved singing and took great joy in leading the singing at church. Gardening was another of his passions, and he was particularly proud of growing the best corn. His warmth and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.

Archie is survived by his beloved wife, Arminta, and their children: Robert (Beverly) Mills, Raymond Mills, and Ronald Mills. He had honorary children, Jason and Angela White, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Norma Mills, along with four brothers and five sisters.

Visitation services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. The first visitation will take place on January 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by another visitation on January 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will also be held on January 22, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM.

Archie Mills will forever be remembered for his love, hard work, and the joyful moments he shared with his family and friends.
