Arlene E. Zipperlen, 89, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Arlene was born in Cleveland, OH on April 1, 1927 to Walter and Edna (Swanson) Terpenny and is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen L. Zipperlen; sister, Florence Elliott; brothers, Gordon and Russell Terpenny.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, William D. Zipperlen; daughter, Joyce A. Zipperlen; grandchild, Beth (Bill) Bussa; great-grandson, Brendan; additional family members, niece, Terryann (Steve) Hartig, Diane Peters and Dr. Wayne A. Zipperlen; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Arlene was a graduate of Columbus North High School, attended OSU and lived in Minerva Park since 1959.
She was a kind, gentle, loving, generous person and will be missed by all who knew her.
Private family burial was observed.
