Ashley Nicole McCann

Ashley Nicole McCann, born on September 11, 1988, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at 37 years old, surrounded by her family. 

Ashley is survived by her husband of 20 years, James; her children, Gabriel (Carmen), Chase, Brooklyn, Haley, and Riley; her father, Robert Gibson, and mother, Laurie Harris- Gibson. Also survived by mother and father in law, Jaqueline (James) Colley; brother, Cody (Rachel) Gibson, brother in law, Johnnie (Angela) Johnston, sister in law, Ashley (Steven) Dewitz, special uncle, Freddy Doughty, very loved aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members who love her very much. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Henry, and cat Mow Mow.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and aunt.

Ashley was funny, outgoing, was always there, was very caring, and would do anything for anyone. She fiercly loved her family. She was the one people went to for comfort, or to vent. She was the leader of the house, the glue that held the home together. She loved spending time watching movies with her children, having long one on one conversastions daily with her children, taking walks with family, canoeing, and visiting the zoo. She also enjoyed watching her favorite shows on Netflix.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM. Ashley will be laid to rest after the service at Concord Cemetery, 6244 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio.
