Listen to Obituary

Audrey (Marsh) Wolery-Hilliard, age 94, formerly of Orient, Ohio, passed away on October 28, 2026, at Optalis Health & Rehabilitation Center in Canal Winchester, Ohio.

Audrey was born on September 13, 1932, in Batavia, Ohio, to the late Jeremiah and Elsie (Williams) Marsh.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd A. Wolery; her second husband, Robert W. Hilliard; her brothers, Jerry (Mable), Leroy, Douglas (Josephine), Melvin (Agnes), Donald (Alice), and Ronald; and her sisters, Dorothy, Lawana, and Elsie (Harold) Harrell.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children and their spouses: son, Larry (Jean) Wolery; and daughters, Linda (Raymond) Strader, Michaela (Edgar) Zillner, and Patricia (Robert) Prentice.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Lannan, Andrew (Christina) Lannan, Hilary Lannan, Alex Zillner, Emmalie Zillner, Zach (Tina) Wolery, Greg (Kristina) Wolery, and Aimee Prentice; and her great-grandchildren, Edi Lannan, Graham Lannan, Ava Zillner, Alexus Wolery, Jace Wolery, Emerson Wolery, and Sawyer Wolery. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, her Wolery sisters-in-law, and numerous friends.

Audrey loved watching football, and you could always hear her cheering for her favorite teams throughout the house. Her teams included Ohio State, Notre Dame, and, most of all, the Cincinnati Bengals. She also had a special love for animals and never hesitated to spoil them with treats. An avid reader, Audrey enjoyed books until macular degeneration eventually took her sight. She especially looked forward to playing Bingo at the nursing home every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Audrey dedicated 25 years of her life to driving a bus for Franklin County MRDD, a job she truly loved. She cared deeply for the individuals she transported, and her work was a source of great pride and fulfillment.

Above all, Audrey treasured the time she spent with her family. She was a spunky woman with a spirited personality who always kept those around her on their toes. Her strong personality, love of life, and the countless memories she created with those she loved will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
