Audrie B. Roach
February 18, 1932 — October 29, 2018
Audrie Belle Roach, 86, formally of Findlay, OH, went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on October 29, 2018 at Pickerington Care and Rehabilitation Nursing Home. She was surrounded by her daughter Jill.
She was welcomed into heaven by her husband Richard (Babe), son Randy and grandson Michael who proceeded her in death. What a wonderful time they must be having!
Audrie had a zest for life, she could walk into a room and light it up with her presence. She was always dressed head to toe with beautiful scarves, jewelry, hair and makeup always done. She loved people and truly loved the Lord. She had a beautiful heart and never met a stranger.
Audrie Belle Rose was born February 18, 1932 to Alvin and Ercil (Reynolds) Rose, in Vinton, OH and they preceded her in death. Her brother Meryl Rose also preceded her in death. As well as her husband Richard (Babe) Roach who died in 2014, and son Randy who just died on January 17, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Jill D. Roach; two sisters, Margaret Alspaugh, and Mrs Doris (Cliff) Hartline; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Randy (Donna) Roach; grandsons Brian (Amanda), Matthew (Audra) and Jason (Brittany) Roach. She was thrilled to be the great grandma of Isabella, and loved and adored her very much. Also 2 great step grandchildren. And she adored her little neighbor girl, McKenna.
Audrie attended North Baltimore High School and graduated in 1950. Audrie married her high school sweetheart, Richard. They were married on August 27, 1950.
Audrie was a stay at home mom and also babysat 2 beautiful little girls for years who became part of their family. Audrie never worked outside the home until her children were in high school. That's when she started working at BGSU working as a cook for a fraternity. She also worked at the Middle School in Bowling Green, OH.
She was a member of the Mt Zion United Brethren Church, Wayne OH and served the Lord her entire adult life. Her selfless love for others, care and concern for her children and husband was seen by many. Her Christian walk was admired by many and loved by all. She loved to have a good time and laugh, but could be sincere and supportive to those in need of prayers.
Friends will be received from 2 pm to 6 pm at Mt Zion United Brethren Church, 7481 Bays Rd, Wayne, OH on Sunday, November 4, 2018. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the church with additional visitation one hour prior. She will be eulogized by her daughter, Jill. Burial will be in the Mt Zion Cemetery. Immediately following the service there will be a bereavement luncheon at the church.
