Barbara Ann Creer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted educator, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on November 23, 1951, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Barbara’s life was a radiant testament to love, dedication, and an unyielding joyful spirit.

A proud graduate of St. Clairsville High School in St. Clairsville, Ohio, Barbara embraced a lifelong commitment to nurturing others. For over 40 years, she dedicated herself as a teacher’s aide with Ohio County Schools, where her patience and compassion left a lasting impression on the countless children whose lives she touched. Her work was not just a career—it was a calling that reflected her warm heart and genuine desire to help others thrive.

Barbara's personality was as vibrant as her life’s work. She was known for her energetic and joyful spirit that could light up any room. To her many friends and extended family, she was a source of warmth and kindness. As a devoted and loving wife and mother, Barbara poured her love into her family with a patient and nurturing presence. Her proudest accomplishments were raising a close-knit family and dedicating herself wholeheartedly to the well-being of children.

Outside of her professional and familial roles, Barbara cherished simple joys and traditions. She delighted in playing board games—especially Scrabble—infusing each game with her trademark enthusiasm. Her faith and visits to church were pillars of her life, offering solace and community. Each year, she looked forward to a special trip to Myrtle Beach, a time for relaxation and renewal. She was also an avid baker and shopper, and holidays, particularly Christmas, were moments she treasured deeply, bringing joy and festive spirit to those around her.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Creer; her children, Leslie and Brian (Tina Standiford) Creer; and her beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Tiffany Creer, who carried forward her legacy of love and care. She also leaves behind her siblings—William (Joyce) Brooks, David (Melodie) Brooks, and Rhonda (Anthony Young) Brown. She is also survived by her brothers in-law, Clarence Jr. (Patricia) Creer, John (Janet) Creer, Robert (Alice) Creer, sister in law, Salina (Jerry) Moore, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who cherished her presence in their lives.

Though Barbara’s dear mother, Minnie Price, preceded her in death, the love and lessons Barbara inherited from her carry on in every heart she touched.

Barbara Ann Creer’s life was a beautiful mosaic of love, service, laughter, and devotion. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit remains alive in the enduring bonds she forged and the lives she brightened. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew her.
