Barbara Ann Hardy, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on September 14, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Barbara spent her early years in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Palmetto, Florida, in 1992.

Barbara devoted 18 years of her professional life to Beall's Inc Corporation, where she worked in the credit authorizations department, retiring in April of 2018. She was not only dedicated in her career but also committed to her faith and her community. A prayer warrior and a believer in Jesus Christ, Barbara was known for her strong, classy, and organized demeanor. Her selfless heart extended beyond her family; she loved to help others in every way she could.

A proud member of the First Christian Church in Bradenton, Florida, Barbara cherished her involvement there, growing in her faith and serving those around her. Her hobbies reflected her nurturing spirit-she found joy in gardening and had a deep affection for dogs, especially her cherished companion, Missy.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family, including her daughter, Connie K (Steve) Stephens; grandchildren, Danielle (Rob) Wray and Ashley (Jonathan) VanValkenburg; great-grandchildren, Austin, Ellie, Colton, Faith, and Norah, her sister, Sharon K. Sweazy, and five nieces and a nephew.

She will always be missed and cherished by her family and friends, as well as those whose lives she touched through her kindness and generosity. Barbara’s legacy of love and strong faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Curtis Hardy; her father, Fredrick A. VanDyke; her mother, Mary E. VanDyke; her sister, Donna Jean Workman; her brothers, Robert G. VanDyke and Ronald L. VanDyke.

Barbara Ann Hardy's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and devotion, qualities that will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
