Barbara Fae Hern

Barbara Fae Hern, 88, of Gahanna passed peacefully on Nov. 22, 2019. She was born on Sept. 17, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to Russell and Grace (Button) Keyser who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband Robert Hern. She is survived by daughters Lisa (Brian) McDonald, Linda Hurst, Lori (Jean Chamberlin) Steigerwald, Jennifer (Gary Hurst) Berry, son James Steigerwald, and step son Robert (Janet) Hern, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

Barbara was an avid Reds fan as well as a champion bowler and is in the Women's Bowling Hall of Fame. Barbara had great faith and was a member of the Mifflin Presbyterian Church in Gahanna.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7pm on Monday Dec. 2, 2019 at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Road Columbus, OH 43231, with a funeral service at 10am at Mifflin Presbyterian Church, 123 Granville Road, Gahanna, on Tuesday Dec. 3, with burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Capital City Hospice or The American Diabetes Association. To leave a message for the family, please click on the "Share Memories" tab above.
