Barbara Frances (Eastham) Maccabee, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by love, on June 14, 2018.
Barbara was born in Thurmond, West Virginia on October 10, 1952. She graduated from Columbus South High School and was married to Robert Paul Maccabee on November 8, 1970; they were married 47 years. Barb held various jobs throughout her work life, ending with positions for service organizations, The Heinzerling Foundation and the National Kidney Foundation.
Her most proud role was beloved mother and grandmother.
Barbara is survived by husband Bob, children Rob (Erin), Matt, and Amy, grandchildren Malcolm, Noah, and Lila, brothers Jon, Don, and Ted, many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by parents Malcolm F. Eastham and Courtella (McClung) and brothers Billie Joe, Roger, David Allen, and Charles Fredrick.
There will be a viewing open to family and friends on Wednesday, June 20th 5pm-8pm.
The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
Burial will follow immediately at Floral Hills Memory Gardens located at 351 Coonpath Rd NE, Lancaster, OH 43130.
