Barbara Lee Rheyne, 86, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Barbara was born on June 27, 1931 in Chillicothe, OH to Howard and Rachel (Cox) George.
Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter, Pauline Catherine Thacker; her parents; son-in-law, Jay Smith; grandson, Joe Thacker and brother, Gary George.
She is survived by her husband, William J.Rheyne, Sr.; children, William J. Rheyne, Jr., Linda (Tom) Pace, Michael David Rheyne, Patricia Ann Smith, Mark Anthony (Pam) Rheyne and Mary Elizabeth (Robert) Ashbrook; son-in-law, Rick Thacker; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Marvin (Sandy) George and Frances (Max) Clark.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10 - 11 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231 where a funeral service will be held immediately afterwards. She will be laid to rest at Union Grove Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to in Barbara's honor to Hearts for Hospice, The Wesley Hospice, 4588 Wesley Woods Blvd, Suite 2-A, New Albany, OH 43054.
