Barry A. Pfaff, 68, passed away on November 25th after a four-year journey with Lewy Body Dementia and a recent battle with liver cancer.
He was born in Akron, graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict.
He retired from AT&T in 2000 after a successful 30 year career.
He also worked part-time as a flight instructor. After his retirement from AT&T, he worked in his dream job as a commercial pilot for Ultimate Jet Charters in Akron.
Barry loved his family, learning, flying, and was a very talented mechanic and builder.
He enjoyed water sports and spending vacation time at Lake Cumberland with his family and friends.
Barry will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather as well as a selfless provider.
Barry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol (nee Blackburn), and his sons, Chad (Jessica) Pfaff and Michael (Christine) Pfaff. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Rylan, Layla and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eileen Pfaff, and his brothers, Robert and Jack Pfaff.
