Beatrice Skaggs

Beatrice Bell Skaggs, born on August 23, 1929 in Miegs County, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, peacefully on, September 9, 2026, in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Deborah (John) Green, Diane Arnold, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Orr and daughter in law, Kim Skaggs. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members, notably niece Tammera and granddaughter, Tara.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Eules, her sons, Leonard, Mark, daughter, Denise; sisters Jane (Dick) Sanders, Cora Dragoo; son in law, Dennis Arnold, and her parents, Leonard and Mary Ellen (Reeves) Boring.

Beatrice loved gardening, keeping a spotless house, decorating for the holidays, playing card games and traveling. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her great-grandchildren Tabi and Cayden. She loved her family more than anything. She was kind, loving, a great cook, and made the best peanut butter fudge and potato salad for every event. She wore out her Bible, was close to God and held her faith close to her heart. She and her husband owned the Great Western Waffle House in Grove City for many years, and a small family restaurant. She was a devoted wife, loving Eules until they were reunited.

Family will receive loved ones and friends on September 16, 2026 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio (614-539-6166). A funeral service will begin at 11:30 with Pastor Paul Etterling officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens will be at 1:00PM.
