Becky Gilbert

Rebecca "Becky" Ellen Gilbert, age 78, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 11, 2025. Becky was born in Huntington, West Virginia on August 15, 1946 to the late Samuel and Gertrude Hall.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Joshua Eric Gilbert and her beloved sister, Thelma Mae Miller.

She is lovingly survived by her husband of 62 years, Gene Gilbert, her children, Jeffrey (Katheryn) Gilbert, Joi (Bill) Melvin, Jeremy Gilbert, Jessica (Mike) Householder, and Stephen Jung, her brother, Jerry Hall, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Becky graduated from South Point High School. She held many jobs such as retail, homemaker for First Community; she spent 25 years with Columbus City Schools as a bus driver and was an Avon Sales Representative and Assistant Manager for 45 years.

She loved spending time with her family, playing cards (she was a cheatin' mo-fo), and making everyone feel special.

She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio 43123 for calling hours from 5pm-8pm. A private burial will be held out-of-town in South Point, Ohio.
