Belinda Jeanne Scaggs

October 28, 1961 — November 1, 2019

Belinda Jeanne Weber-Scaggs, age 58, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Hospice of Central Ohio located at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

She graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1979 and earned her AA degree in accounting from Columbus State Community College. She had been employed by the DFAS in Columbus for the last five years. Belinda will be missed for her generosity and loving nature. Her friends and family meant the world to her. Kris Collins was considered the third sister and became a part of the family the instant she met Belinda.

Her close group of friends, Kris, Daphne, Alex, Brian, Belinda Raines and many others knew she was the life of the party. She was always the first one on the dance floor. In addition to the support of Kris Collins, she loved and cherished her bond with Belinda Raines; cousin, confidant, and true friend. Belinda was an avid football fan and never missed The Ohio State University Buckeyes football game.

She went to many a tailgate, and as her health diminished, she would sit in front of the television rooting them on like she was at the sidelines calling the plays. Her enthusiasm and spirit will surely be missed. The two most important people in her life however, were her children. Tisha and Tony fed her soul and gave her purpose. She loved them to the depths of the ocean and furthest reaches of space. To Belinda, they were her life.

She is preceded in death by her mother and step father, Beverley and Henry Casa; brother Thomas L. Weber, Jr.; maternal and paternal grandparents. Survived by her daughter and son, Tisha (Wallace) Maynard and Tony (Brandy) Scaggs; grand-daughter Avery and twins on the way; father Thomas Lee Weber, Sr., step-mother Beverly Bain; sisters Deborah (Lisa) Weber, Cynda Shay, Patty Weber; nieces Adrianne (Lionel) Dean, Ashley Tompkins, Nicole (Nathan) Natal; great nieces and nephews Cadence, Madison, Izabella, Jaden, Kayla, and Lydia; and many other cousins across the United States. In lieu of services, Belinda asked for a celebration of life which will be announced at a later date.
