Bernard George Hayes, 72, passed away at his home on July 23, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Hayes and M. Kathryn Denius; sister, Margret Hayes; and step-fathers, Jasper Starr and Paul Denius.
Bernard is survived by son, Charles T. Hayes and daughter, Kimberly M. (Steve) Carrizales; siblings, John Hayes, Charles Hayes and JoEllen Shimek; and grandchildren, Lauren N. Hayes and Austin M. Hamon.
Honorably served in the United States Coast Guard from 1960 to 1964. Retired from the State of Ohio.
Per Bernard's request, no services are to be held.
Memorial Donations may be made in Bernard's name to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-FRAO, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.
