Bernard Mccathern
January 12, 1922 — May 29, 2014
Bernard "Bernie" McCathern, age 92, passed quietly in his home, May 29, 2014.
Served in WWII as a Corporal in the US Army Air Corp as part of the 22nd Bomber Squad. Retired from the US Postal Service and State of Ohio.
Preceded in death by wife, Mary Kathryn McCathern and son-in-law, Bob Cash.
Survived by children, Brenda Cash, Barbara (Gus) Miller and Steve (Cathy) McCathern. Also survived lovingly by Gerri Keyes, Leslie, Robert, Randall; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation Monday, June 2, 2014 from 3-5pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with Funeral Service beginning at 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernie's memory to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit St., P.O. Box 10086, Toledo, OH 43699-0086.
