Bertha E. (Dobson) Musick. A memorial service celebrating the life of Bertha Elsia Musick, 92, of Pataskala, OH will be held on July 19th, 6:30pm, at the Victory Baptist Church, 9564 Hazelton-Etna Road, Etna, OH 43018 with Rev Mark Plaugher officiating.
A private graveside service will held at the Dobson Cemetery, Jellico, TN on Aug. 2nd or 3rd. Bertha passed peacefully on July 10, 2014, at Mt. Carmel Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1922 to George W. and Jemima L. Dobson in Jellico, TN.
She grew up during the Great Depression and worked in the war factories in Illinois. Her and Ralph were entrepreneurs running a small store in Corbin, KY during the 1960's and moved to Trotwood, OH in 1970 where she was active raising her kids and gardening. Surviving are her sister Jewell Martin, Corbin, KY; her four children Mallie Marshall, Eaton, OH; Barbara (Steve) Jarrells, Columbus, OH; Robert (Lisa) Musick, Granville, OH and Rex Musick, Dayton, OH. She has ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bertha was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph S. Musick and her son James M. Musick. In addition she was preceded in death by her sisters Lola Koner, Lorena Clark, Sally Crane and brother George.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
