Betty Ann Mills Broek, 89, of Westerville passed away quietly on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Betty was born on November 10, 1928 to Donald Brooks and Garnet Jane Mills.
Betty led an interesting life and lived in several states throughout the years. She lived in Ohio, Illinois, Texas, New York and finally back to where she began, Ohio. She was also fortunate enough to travel to many exotic locations in Europe, the Orient, Australia as well as Mexico and Canada with her husband David.
She had many interests ranging from music to bowling to reading and quilting. She was a Certified AMF Bowling Instructor in Houston, Texas and Columbus, Ohio. She bowled for over forty years. She was an avid cook book collector and very proud of her collection.
Betty is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband of forty years, David Broek; her children from a previous marriage to Nolan Ronald Brumfield; Patti (Doug) Bowman, Pamela Brumfield and Richard (Kris) Brumfield. As well as her step-children, Marieka Broek, Titus (Chiloe) Broek and Ilsa Broek. Betty had seven grandchildren; Daniel Lewis, Ryan Fox, Chase Brumfield, Michelle Brumfield, Victoria Brumfield, and Tara Brumfield. She also had three great-grandchildren; Zachary Lewis, Aidan Fox and Cami Fox. She leaves behind several nieces, cousins and many, many friends.
Along with her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother Robert Clair Mills and several beloved aunts and uncles and her grandchild Brandon Fox.
We will all forever be better for having known Betty. She lived her life by her own words, 'I lived a beautiful and full life. I died as I lived, as everyone's friend.'
