Betty J. Briggs, 93, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Columbus, OH on March 1, 1920, to Avery R. and Helen (Bast) Curtiss and is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack O. Briggs.
Survivors include her son, Jack (Lynne) Briggs; daughter, Sandy (Jerry) Creamer; sister, Norma Lloyd; grandchildren, Heidi (Justin) Bates, Scott Briggs, Amy (Eric) Butzier and Christina (John) Tibbals; 8 great-grandchildren; niece, nephews and many friends.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, January 30, 2014, 4-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Friday, January 31, 2014, 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 655 Metro Place South, #770, Columbus, OH.
