Betty J. Chadwick, age 78, passed away peacefully at West Park on October 1, 2016. Betty was born in LaFollette, Tennessee on May 14, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harry E. Chadwick, daughter Beverly Kawasaki and granddaughter, Michelle Cartwright. She is survived by her children, Sandy (Mike), Darlene (Jim), Harry (Brenda), Mike and Margie (Keith), 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Betty was employed for many years by Ranco Inc. prior to her retirement. Betty loved to care for her family, especially the grandchildren. Betty always enjoyed her long trips to Florida to visit her best friend Carolyn.
It would be appropriate to thank the West Park Teal Unit Nursing and STNA staff, dietary and housekeeping teams for their service and compassion while caring for Betty. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Kindred Hospice, with special thanks to Joe McDaniel for the love and compassion shown to Betty during this time. Special thanks to Betty's great grand-daughter Allison Morrow for assisting in the care of Betty during her time at West Park. Betty will be sadly missed by all.
I would especially like to thank my sons James and Chadwick Morrow for their love and support during the most difficult times this year with the passing of my Father and Mother.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, October 3, 2016, 3-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
