Betty Myers (Maw Maw), age 89, of Gahanna, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1927 in Columbus, OH to John and Edith Yank.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marietta Yost; and granddaughter, Tina Campbell.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 67 years, John Myers; children, Janice Stafford and Wanda (Bobby) Jones; grandchildren, Missy (John) Dillman, Brian Jones, Bobby (Sue) Stafford, and Kelly (Dustin) Townsend; great-grandchildren, Tommy Campbell, Johnny Campbell, Katie Campbell, Morgan Dillman, Abby Dillman, and Hadley Stafford; sister, Judy (Larry) Spain; special niece, Jane (Tom) Smith; and many other loving family members and friends.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:00am also at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Pastor Mike Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120 Chicago, IL 60693, in Betty's honor. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
Betty's caring spirit will be missed by everyone she touched.
