Betty J. Richardson

Betty J. Richardson, 81, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at The Hoover Haus in Grove City, Ohio.

Born on April 19th, 1945 to the late Garrit and Frances (Dythra) Ballast, Betty is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Darl K. Richardson; her son, Mark Richardson, of Guntown, Mississippi; her daughter, Becky Bayes, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026 at Memorial Baptist Church (2435 Eakin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204). A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the Church.

Graveside services will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026 at Jamestown Cemetery (24th Avenue, Hudsonville, Michigan 49426).

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that memorial contributions be made in Betty's memory to the Memorial Baptist Church's MSN Building Project (2435 Eakin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204).
