Beverly E. Cobb (Myers), affectionately known as Bev, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born on December 13, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, where she would later graduate from Central High School.
Beverly dedicated a significant part of her career to Columbus City Schools, retiring as a bus driver. She was well-known and cherished in her role, having touched the lives of many children throughout her years on the job. Beverly was a colorful woman, characterized by her directness and bravery. She genuinely cared for everyone around her and served as a beacon for her family, always ensuring that those she loved had the support they needed to succeed, especially when it came to their education.
In her leisure time, Beverly enjoyed engaging in activities like bingo, gambling, and playing the slot machines, adding to her vibrant personality.
Beverly is survived by her son, Christopher Roosevelt (Joshua) Cobb; daughter, Marie Myers; three sisters, Phyllis May, Mary Butcher, and Brenda (Dave) Ballinger; two grandchildren, Jacqueline Myers and Briaunna Myers; nine great-grandchildren, Jovaugny Hairston, Jacqueline Hairston, Alexavier Laud, Donna Robinson, Akai Moore-Watson, Amir Speakman, Penelope Speakman, Charlotte Speakman, Amora Speakman; and a great-great grandson, Arvani Hairston. Additionally, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Cynthia Myers, along with numerous family and friends who will remember her fondly.
Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Myers. Her proudest accomplishments included her two children and the extended family she nurtured throughout her life. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
