Beverly June Young, 94, affectionately known as "June," passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at Meadow Grove Transitional Care in Columbus, Ohio. Born on June 3, 1931, in Steubenville, Ohio, June lived a life marked by warmth, devotion to family, and spirited enthusiasm for her beloved sports teams.

June was the daughter of the late Roy and Melva (McCurdy) Walker. She was raised in Steubenville alongside her siblings—Faye Kaiser, Madeline Bonar, Iris Dudo, Lee Walker, Fred Walker, and Richard Walker—all of whom preceded her in death. While June’s family circle has been deeply touched by these losses, her legacy of love and resilience has endured through the generations that follow.

A true family matriarch, June cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Beverly Lynn (Russ) Croysdale, who continues to carry forward her mother’s spirit and kindness. June’s joy extended through her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and happiness in her life. Additionally, she was a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews, nurturing strong bonds that enriched her days. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband 30 plus years, Frank "Lank" Young.

Beyond her family, June was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians and the Pittsburgh Steelers, finding great pleasure in rooting for her favorite teams and sharing that passion with friends and family alike. Her enthusiasm for sports was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and her appreciation for shared experiences.

June’s life was a tapestry woven with dedication, love, and spirited cheer. She will be remembered not only for her unwavering devotion to those she held dear but also for the joy and warmth she brought into every room. Her presence will be dearly missed, yet the memories she created will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her.

In honoring Beverly June Young’s life, we celebrate a remarkable woman whose legacy of love, family, and community endures. May she rest in peace, forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
