Bill Spadaro

September 1, 1929 — May 7, 2017

Bill Spadaro, 87, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He was born September 1, 1929 in Mt. Hope, WV "God's Country," to the late James and Eleanor Spadaro (Miller).

Proud, proud Mountaineer and Marine Veteran, Bill Spadaro would like for you all to know that his work here is done. He received a new assignment, a call that he could not refuse, a mission from which he will not be returning. This mission comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends of whom he hasn't seen in a long time. This new assignment takes him to a wonderful place filled with love and laughter, football, golf and softball, an abundance of delicious food and fields of green grass that are in need of mowing. Bill has left instructions for us to celebrate his earthly mission, which was to love one another, respect each other and smile and maintain a good sense of humor. "Semper Fi."

He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked at Columbus Coated Fabrics for 26 years and retired from Capital City Products after 14 years of service. Bill was a member of Trinity Assembly of God.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack, Benny and James "Buck" Spadaro, Mary Patrick and Ruth Bennett; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Juanita Kincaid; brother-in-laws, Fred "Gene" Kincaid and Jack Kincaid.

He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Janet Spadaro; children, Don (Pat) Spadaro; grandchildren, Todd Spadaro, Simon (Rita) Stamper, Maggie (Mark) DiDonato, Josh (Nicole) Stamper, Emilie (David) Stires; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Malia DiDonato, Phoenix, Oliver and Milo Stamper, Hannah, Hailee and Autumn "Sugar" Stires; siblings, Rosie Stover, Eleanor (Honey) Pyles, Gene Spadaro, Josephine (Earl) Robinson, Marie (Ben) Bentley, Edith Bevins and Ted (Sharon) Spadaro; sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Spadaro; brother-in-laws, Jim (Laurie) Kincaid, Larry (Deb) Kincaid and Tracy Bennet; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Assembly of God, 1112 Demorest Rd., Columbus, OH 43204.

Entombment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.

We would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at Mt. Carmel Hospital & the Palliative Care Department. Additional thanks to brother-in-law, Jim Kincaid and granddaughter, Emilie Stires.
