Billy Lee Hodge, affectionately known as "Reel Skeete," passed away on May 29, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 22. Born on February 2, 2004, also in Columbus, Billy was a warm and kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many around him.
Billy was a dedicated truck driver for McKlane and had recently earned his Commercial Driver's License after completing truck driving school. His love for adventure was shown through his hobbies which included fishing, mud running, and four-wheeling with friends. He especially cherished the time he spent with his girlfriend, Jolissa.
Billy was a loving son and a proud mama's boy who had a soft spot for those around him. Known for his humor and kindness, he was someone who would help anyone in need. His personality was one that made everyone like him, and he brought joy to those who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Billie Jo, who loved him dearly. He also leaves behind his sister Brittany (CJ) Thompson, his brother David Bergunzi, and his girlfriend Jolissa Davis. In addition, Billy is survived by cousins, extended family, and many friends who will remember him fondly.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Lil Rob Thompson, and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life service to honor Billy's memory will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio 43123. The event will take place on June 9, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Billy Lee Hodge’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He was a truly special person whose kindness and spirit will never be forgotten.
