Billy R. Blakeman age 91 of Blacklick passed on November 30, 2014. He was born on June 19, 1923 in Wilmore, KY to Benjamin and Ruth (Askins) Blakeman. Survivors include his wife Marhta (Wiss) Blakeman, sons Robert, John, and daughter Alice. 1 granddaughter Lauryn Shelby, and sister Martha Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Charles, brothers & sisters.
He was veteran of WWII in the Army Air Force being discharged after the 3rd airplane crash. He was the Plant Engineer at Columbus Steel Drum, former President of the Columbus Branch of American Institute Plant Engineers. Member of the Stonybrook Methodist Church in Gahanna.
Burial following cremation will be held at the family's convenience in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Arrangements were handled by Newcomer Funeral Home SW in Grove City.
