Bob Corbitt, 77, of Columbus, went to join his Sweets on Thursday, May 12, 2016. He was born in Douglas, Georgia on February 12, 1939 to Elisha and Lessie. Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Andrea (McKean) Corbitt.
He is survived by his daughters: Carla Seibold, Sonya (Kurt) Nielsen and Candice Clark; sisters: Pat Harris and Deborah Lynn (Marty) Miller; grandchildren: Renee Ball, Douglas Joe (Lindsay) Baxter, Jr, Megan Widney, Marissa (Josh) Dewey, Brittany Morgan, Kourtney Clark, Andrew Corbitt and Savannah (Jordan Siders) Clark and eight Great-Grandchildren as well as numerous friends and relatives who will miss him deeply.
Bob was a role model of a true Southern Gentleman. He exampled a life that shared his humbled wisdom and knowledge to all he met. His word was his bond. He taught all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren the value of an honest, hard-working life.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City on Friday, May 20 from 10-12 with a funeral service to follow immediately after. Interment will follow the funeral service at Fairview Memorial Park Delaware.
