Bobbie Maye, 70, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. Bobbie was born on May 28, 1948 in Americus, Georgia to the late Robert and Margaret (Burton) Ross. Bobbie was raised by her beloved late aunt, Freddie Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Maye; children, Victoria M. (Richard) Evans, Eric D. (Lillian) Maye, Timothy Postell, Robert Maye, Jr. and Kelvin Maye; grandchildren, Rachel, Olivia and Lauryn Evans, Nikalia, Isaiah, Malyia, Joshua, Gabriel and Ezabella Maye; sister, Varnetta Ross-Knight; cherished brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Bobbie worked as a sewing machine operator for over 35 years, but her heart and soul was in the kitchen. She was a true Ohio State fan and a Miller Lite lover. Bobbie enjoyed R & B and country music. She dedicated her life taking care of everyone she knew.
Family will receive friends on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 4 pm also at Newcomer NE Chapel.
