Bobby Mcdonald

Bobby McDonald, 75, of Columbus, OH, passed away October 16, 2013. Bobby served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 164 and the Elks Lodge 37. He retired as a building inspector for the City of Columbus. Bobby was also a member of the First Baptist Church, Portland, TN. He was born in Chestnut Mound, TN on September 3, 1938 to Cowan Darwin and Anna Corneil McDonald, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his 1st wife, Sylvia McGee, son, Kent Douglas McDonald, sister, Pauline (Carleen) Alderson. Surviving family includes, wife, Joyce, children, H. Edward Heckman, Marsha Brown, grandchildren, Bradley Brown and Nicole Shonk, siblings, Dimple Cook, James (Lois) McDonald, Ruth (Henry) Shumake, Claude (Lynn) McDonald, William (Zanna) McDonald, Kenneth (Linda) McDonald, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.

A second memorial service will be held in Portland, TN at 11am on November 2 with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Mount Carmel Hospice.
