Bonnie (Hix) Smith

Bonnie (Hix) Smith, 100 of Williamsport, passed away at her residence on December 24, 2014. Born on September 20, 1914 to the late Albert and Ada (Whiteside) Writsel in Madison County, Ohio. Survived by children Pearl (Ruby) Hix, Charles (Ludie) Hix, Melvin (Kathy) Hix, Medrith Woods, Virgil A. Hix, Richard (Becky) Hix, Sandra (Harold) Tackett, step-daughters Janet (Ronnie) McNeal, Ruth Massengale and Marjorie (Terry) Park, 20 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Jackie Writsel and Jean Writsel. Preceded in death by 1st husband Virgil K. Hix, 2nd husband Curtis Smith and daughter Gwen Seymour. Special thanks to Sandra and Harold for caring for Bonnie over the past 30 months.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 5 to 8pm.

Funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10am with Rev. Eileen Hix officiating.

Burial to follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
