Brandon Jackson

Brandon Lee Sasorith Jackson, 28, a remarkable and deeply loved husband, son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2026, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. His loss leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Brandon was born on March 18, 1998, to Tony and Kelly Sasorith at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus. He graduated from Hamilton Township High School in 2016 and was determined to build a life on his own terms. Brandon always dreamed of being his own boss and working for himself, and he eventually turned that dream into reality as a nail technician and independent business owner. He took great pride in his work and loved the freedom and creativity that came with building something of his own.

Those who knew Brandon knew there was truly no one quite like him. He had a kind and compassionate heart and an infectious sense of humor that could bring laughter to even the quietest room. He had a way of making people feel comfortable, welcomed, and loved, and his presence brought warmth and joy wherever he went. Brandon cared deeply for the people in his life and was always willing to give of himself to those he loved.

Brandon and Andrew's story began in 2013 when they met at Schiller Park in German Village. What began with an unexpected meeting grew into a love that lasted more than a decade. Together, they built a home and a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and countless memories. After 12 years together, they were married in May 2025, surrounded by the love and happiness they had built together.

Brandon was an explorer at heart and found happiness in being outdoors and experiencing new things. He was an avid gardener who took great pride in growing and caring for his plants. He loved hiking through the woods, paddleboarding on the water, and simply spending time outside. Brandon also loved the Franklin Park Conservatory and proudly held a membership, often bringing family and friends along to share in something he loved. At home, Brandon and Andrew shared their lives with their fur babies, Toby and Gus, along with their 11 chickens, who quickly became part of the family and another source of joy in their everyday lives. For Brandon, there was something special about creating a home filled with life, nature, and the people and animals he loved.

Brandon also had a deep love for travel and adventure. He enjoyed experiencing new places, making memories, and checking destinations off his ever-growing bucket list. Whether traveling near home or venturing across the world, Brandon embraced the excitement of discovering something new. One of his most cherished adventures was traveling to Japan with Andrew to celebrate their first wedding anniversary—a trip that allowed him to experience one of the many places he had dreamed of seeing.

Brandon's memory will live on not only through the years he spent with those who loved him, but through the kindness he showed, the laughter he gave, the adventures he shared, and the countless lives he touched simply by being himself.

Even in his passing, Brandon continued to give to others. As a registered organ donor, he gave the gift of life through the donation of not only his heart but many other vital organs. His final act of generosity reflects the compassion and selflessness that defined so much of who he was.

Brandon is survived by his husband, Andrew Jackson; his mother, Kelly Sasorith; his father, Tony (Souphanh) Sasorith; his brothers, Elijah and Ryder; his grandparents, Terry and Vanda Burdette; his in-laws, Richard and Amy Jackson; his aunt, Amy Burdette; his uncle, Timothy Woods Jr.; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who became family along the way.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sourivong and Maxine Sasorith; his great-grandparents, Samuel and Jeanette Woods; and James and Betty M. Stewart.

Brandon's life may have been far too short, but it was filled with love, laughter, adventure, creativity, nature, and people who cherished him. He leaves behind a piece of himself in every person who loved him, every memory he helped create, every place he explored, every plant he nurtured, and every life he touched.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 10th, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio (614-539-6166).

A service celebrating Brandon's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 11th, in the funeral home chapel. Burial services will immediately follow at Obetz Cemetery.
