Brenda Sue Blanton

Brenda Sue Blanton, 69, was reunited in Heaven with her husband of 56 years, Glenn on March 10, 2026. She was a woman of immense heart and spirited energy. To know her was to know a woman who would give the shirt off her back to a stranger and her last dollar to a friend in need. She moved through life with a "caring first" mentality, always checking in on others and ensuring everyone around her was taken care of. But when she wasn't looking out for family and friends, you could most likely find her at the casino, chasing the lights and sounds of the slot machines. She loved the thrill of the spin and the joy of a "big win," though for her the real jackpot was always the time spent laughing with the people she loved. She taught us that life is a bit of a gamble, but if you lead with love, you always come out ahead.

In addition to her husband, Glenn Blanton, Brenda was preceded in death by mother, Bessie Ward; sisters, Colleen Young and Christine Wells. Brenda is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Josh Conkel) and Sara Blanton; grandchildren, Mya Garred, Makenzie Cullen, and Malakai Blanton; sisters, Emma Coleman and Judy Porter; best friend, Patricia Aaron; furry companion, Precious; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Per her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
