Brian Alan Henry, age 56, passed away gently on Monday, March 9, 2015, after a fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. Brian was born in Columbus on December 13, 1958, to the late Harley H. and Alice (O'Brien) Henry.
Beloved husband to Barbara Henry; devoted father to Jacobe Alan and Nicole Ashley Henry; sweet brother to Rebecca (David) Jahn, Cherryl (James) Agin, Stephen, Tamara, and Thomas Henry. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Met in heaven by nephew Brian Jahn. A life-long resident of Columbus, Brian graduated from West High in 1977, earned his ABC electrician certification, was employed by Bachman Electrical, then by Columbus City School District. He was active as a past volunteer at St. Mary Magdalene School and bingo worker at the church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and pet lover of his cats and dog Magi.
Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway in Grove City on Friday, March 13, from 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, at 10 am at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 474 Roys Ave. The family welcomes donations to the American Cancer Society or Caring Bridge in Brian's memory.
