Brian K. Delong

Brian K. Delong, 65, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2026, at St. Ann’s Hospital.

Brian spent many years at State Auto Insurance, where he took pride in his work in building maintenance before retiring. One of his favorite projects throughout his years there was creating the Christmas Nativity Scene. From October through December each year, Brian dedicated countless hours to working on the Nativity scene, making it something he truly looked forward to. Outside of work, Brian loved to travel, ride four-wheelers, and especially enjoyed riding roller coasters with his son, Sam. He was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan and Cincinnati Bengals fan.

Brian was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Kay Delong; his son, Sam Delong; and his parents, Marcella and Bobby Joe Delong.

He is survived by Brenda Delong; son, Brian Jr.; daughter, Sandy; sister, Gwen (David) Skeen; grandson, Christopher; and many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Family was the most important part of Brian’s life. He loved being a dad to his three amazing children and cherished every moment he spent with them. Becoming a Paw-Paw was another one of the greatest joys of his life, and his grandson held a very special place in his heart. There was nothing Brian wouldn’t do for the people he loved, and he always made sure his family knew how much they meant to him. Brian’s greatest legacy will be the love he gave his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever loved
