Brooke H. Lower

May 20, 1955 — November 6, 2019

Brooke H. Lower of Columbus Ohio, age 64, passed away on November 6, 2019. He was born in Dover, Ohio on May 20, 1955 to the late Francis R. and Jean A. Lower.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elaine; children, Brooke F. (Heather) Lower, Jennifer (Jermaine) Lower; sister, Deborah Kay Lower; grandchildren, Josh Lower, Pierce Lower, Max Lower, Wyatt Lower, River Lower, Jahzara King, Joseph King, and Joslynn King.

Brooke and his sister, Kay, were raised by their single mother since their father Francis passed away from injuries he sustained during World War II when Brooke was five years old. He was raised in Coshocton, Ohio, but moved to Columbus with his family and graduated from Reyonldsburg High School in 1973. A few years later he met the love of his life, Elaine, and had two children, Brookie and Jen. Brooke retired from Worthington Industries in 2008 after over three decades of employment.

Brooke loved his dogs, at times I might say more than his children. He was passionate about music (especially The Rolling Stones and Lou Reed), reading, cooking, and fast cars. He could fix anything that was broken or not. Mostly he loved his grandchildren with all his heart. He was excited to teach them all he knew.

Growing up, my dad often quoted many sayings. The most fitting one I can think of at this moment is, "The only guarantee in life is death and taxes".
Friends may call at the Faith Covenant Church 3607 Dempsey Rd. Westerville, OH. 43081 on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 7:00pm until time of memorial service at 8:00pm. Pastor Tim Heizelman officiating. The family is being served by the Newcomer Northeast Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Covenant Church Memorial Fund.

Remember Me by Robert Dowson
Speak of me as you have always done.
Remember the good times, laughter, and fun.
Share the happy memories we've made.
Do not let them wither or fade.
I'll be with you in the summer's sun
And when the winter's chill has come.
I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze.
I'm peaceful now, put your mind at ease.
I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep,
But memories we've shared are yours to keep.
Sometimes our final days may be a test,
But remember me when I was at my best.
Although things may not be the same,
Don't be afraid to use my name.
Let your sorrow last for just a while.
Comfort each other and try to smile.
I've lived a life filled with joy and fun.
Live on now, make me proud of what you'll become.
