Bud O Masters

Bud O Masters, 74, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Washington Court House. He was born on June 11, 1952, in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Bud was an auto mechanic from the time he was 18 years old until his retirement in 2023. He spent his working life doing the kind of hands-on work he knew well, and he also enjoyed working on cars in his own time. Outside of work, he liked fishing, hunting, and NasCar. He was a man of routine who would go to work, come home, eat dinner, watch TV, and go to bed. Those who knew Bud will remember his great sense of humor and his very blunt way of speaking.

Above all, Bud was proud of his family, especially his wife Barbara. He shared 55 years of marriage with Barbara (Shafer) Masters, a lasting partnership that stood at the center of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Masters; his children, Scotty and Sheila Masters, and Angie and Daniel Massoglia; his grandchildren, Macie, Nick, Bubba, and MaKaela; his great-grandchildren, Kylie, Gage, Kinslee, and Slade; his sisters, Pat, Brenda, and Theresa; and his brothers, Bob and Don. He is also remembered with love by all who were part of his family circle and shared in his life over the years.

Bud was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Masters; his mother, Donna (Bean) Masters; and his sisters, Becky, Judy, and Mable.

Bud will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family, enjoyed the outdoors, and spent much of his life doing what he knew best. His memory will remain with those who loved him.
