Buford Wayne Robinson

Buford Wayne Robinson, age 71, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Buford was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on May 9, 1946 to Douglas and Lily Mae (Justice) Robinson. He is the oldest of 5 children.

Buford attended Elkhorn City High School in Elkhorn City, Kentucky- graduating in 1965. He went on to attend Mayo Vocational School where he received his electronic certification.

Buford is a veteran of the United States Army. After serving in the army, he held various jobs in manufacturing and the coal industry. He retired in 2003 from Owens Illinois/Techniglass in Columbus, Ohio of 15 years. During his retirement years, he enjoyed antique shopping, garage sales, working on his 63 Chevy, woodworking, building guitars, and putting the "Handy" in handyman.

Buford loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing his guitar with his brother-in-laws, grandson, and nephews. He was a man of faith (Christian) and a member at the West Broad Church of Christ.

Buford is survived by his wife of 51 years, Malinda (Hall) Robinson; two daughters, Melissa (Kevin) O'Quinn and Becky (Rudy) Domyanich; grandchildren, Kristen (J.W.) Badgley, Jerrett O'Quinn and Tanner Domyanich; step-mother, Ruby Robinson; sisters, Judy Lamb and Sandra Hester; aunts, Christine Page and Christine Robinson; also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Buford is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and 2 brothers.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiants of the West Broad Church of Christ.

Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St. Galloway, OH.
