Calvin E. Smith, age 88, passed away on August 19, 2017. Born April 29, 1929 to the late Arthur and Flora Smith.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter Kathryn Lavon; son Michael Joe; grandson Christopher Eugene; and several siblings.
Survived by beloved wife of 69 years Betty Lavon; son Larry E. (Elnora) Smith, James A. (Rhonda) Smith; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He worked and retired as a State of Ohio employee.
Visitation on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Grove City, from 4-7pm. Service Friday, August 25, 2017 at the funeral home at 1pm. Burial to follow at Concord cemetery, old section.
