Calvin Washington, Sr., 81, Granville, OH and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, Caldwell and Thalia Washington; wife, Rhodia M. Washington; siblings, Thelma, Clarence, Caldwell and Mamie.

He is survived by his siblings, Margaret Shields, Cecil (Betty) Washington, Josephine Washington; sister-in-law, Mary Arrington; children, Alvin K. (Tami) Washington, Jannetta (Jean) Guinhouya, Calvin (Tina) Washington, Mary Washington, Monica Washington; grandchildren, Jenifer (Clyde) Wolford, Alvin A. (Melissa) Washington, Calvin (Lauren) Washington III, Kristopher Washington, Alexander Washington, Isaiah Washington; great-grandchildren, Dorian, Ella, Michael and many relatives & friends.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, October 12, 2017, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017, 10:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 785 Newark Granville Road, Granville, OH 43023. Monsignor Paul Enke will officiate.
