Candace Kay (Scott) Coldren

In loving memory of Candace Kay (Scott) Coldren. Born on February 6, 1954. She died on November 25, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Jennings Scott.
She attended high school at Northland H.S., Columbus, Ohio and also attended the Columbus Beauty Academy.
She is survived by her mother, Janet L. Cole, Columbus, Ohio and her step-mother, Freda Scott, Fairmont, West Virginia.
She is married to Otis I. Coldren III, their children are Veronica Sue McWhorter, Bradley Irwin Coldren, and Mitchell Garrett Coldren; grandchildren, Tyler, Spencer, Serena (deceased), Liberty, William, Kaydence, and Jameson.
She attended church at Columbus Baptist Temple, she worked with the Northland Jaycees, (Junior Chamber of Commerce). She worked at numerous beauty salons including Great Clips.
She was a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother. Her illness kept her from tending to her children and grandchildren the way she wanted to. We know it weighed heavily on her heart and wanted to take a moment to let you that, had she been able to, she would have taken in every child that needed help.
The family will receive friends from 4-7pm, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 where the funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Friday, December 1, 2017. Pastor Greg Miller officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery.
