Carl C. Matthews, 84 of Columbus, passed away at his residence on October 27, 2015. Born on March 4, 1931 to the late John and Mizzie (Prater) Matthews in Portsmouth, OH. Carl served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Survived by special friend Charlene (John) Hull, nephews John (Unice) Matthews and Ron Levi, sister Betty Wagner and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughter Denise Thomas, son Cameron Matthews and 10 siblings.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, OH on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 5pm until time of service at 7pm. Burial at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville, Ohio on Tuesday at 10am.
