Carl R. (Bob) Hanson, 74, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Columbus, OH on February 8, 1939, to Joseph B. and Thelma P. (Wilkes) Hanson and is preceded in death by his father.
Survived by his mother, Thelma Hanson; daughters, Lisa (Donald) Chapman, Cheryl Hanson, Kim (Tom) Williams and their mother, Charlesa H. Faistl; sisters, Patty (Jim) Curry, Janet (Earl) Graybill; grandchildren, Brandon Hanson, Ashley (Vincent) Chanthasene; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Greyson Chanthasene; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends, Glenn & Laurie Miller and Jose Cruz plus many others.
Bob was a 1957 graduate of West Jefferson High School and worked for Sweden Freezer, Alco, Nestle and Wasserstrom.
At Bob's request, there will be no services.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice nurses and staff for their kind care.
